This illustration was created during Underpaint Academy's Iconic Splash Art course and given a final polish after taking La Galleria Roja's 3-day Splash workshop, both mentored by Victor Maury. The main objective for this piece was to create a character driven illustration showing off Duchess, one of the playable Nightfarers from Elden Ring: Nightreign.   

The piece shows Duchess in the heat of battle, the fires of the Night closing in around her, while activating her Restage, which allows her to turn invisible. Other details from her story, like her earring and delicate watch are also included.
